Clare Clarke

Cofounder & Chief Operating Officer

Clare is a journalist and public relations consultant. After completing undergraduate and master’s degrees in history, she has worked for newspapers and in marketing. She is now a PR and digital media manager at a genetics start-up based in Cambridge. Inspired by her concern over the current crisis, Clare co-founded Sequester in August 2019, where she manages direction and outreach, with a focus on charity and media engagement.

James Weber

Cofounder & Chief Science Officer

James graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2016 with a First Class degree in Natural Sciences (Chemistry). He is currently undertaking a PhD in the Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge using global climate models to investigate the effect of biogenic emissions on atmospheric composition and climate. James worked with Cambridgeshire County Council to produce a report the county’s target of reaching net zero, writing a section on how afforestation could contribute to emissions reductions and is continuing to work with the council on their afforestation policy.

Glen Chua

Cofounder & Chief Data Officer

Glen graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2018 with a BA and MSCi in Natural Sciences (Physics) and then undertook an MPhil in Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge using a global climate model to examine the effect of methane emissions from wetlands in South East Asia. He has just started a PhD at Princeton University with the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory.

Abhishek Shenoy

Chief Technology Officer

Abhishek is currently studying engineering at the University of Cambridge, Abhishek intends to specialise into computer engineering and loves to apply his computing skills to various fields including biomechanics, chemical design, structural engineering, electronics design and software development, just to name a few. He aims to develop new technologies to help the world build a better future.

Tomas Gilbride

Chief Financial Officer

Tom graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2016 with a First Class Honours having produced a thesis examining the independence of financial advisors based upon fee structures. He completed a training contract with BDO LLP and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2019. He is about to commence employment post qualification in Tech M&A (Corporate Finance).
